Substances
All chemical products imported into or manufactured in Canada must be listed on either the Domestic Substance List (DSL) or the Non-Domestic Substance List (NDSL).
Products listed only on the NDSL have a manufacturing or import quantity restriction.
Products not listed on either List are subject to the New Substance Notification (NSN) regulations

- Bone Fide Intent document filing for Confidential Listing Search requests
- Guidance in the assembly of data requirements for NSN submissions
- Guidance in classification of Reduced Risk polymers
- Submission of all Schedules under the NSN programme
- Notice of Excess Quantity (NOEQ) and/or Notice of Manufacturing Intent (NOMI) filing with DSL listing request
- Submission monitoring and follow-up
