All cosmetic products distributed in Canada are subject to prior Cosmetic Notification under the Cosmetic Regulations administered by Health Canada.

All ingredients in cosmetic products must be declared on the label using the International Nomenclature for Cosmetic Ingredients standard (INCI).

Labels of cosmetic products may not contain any therapeutic claims, as these are restricted to drugs and natural health products
